Investigation Retainer Policy and Payment Terms
We work on a retainer basis. After you call us, we'll discuss your case with you, and determine the anticipated time and expense necessary to reach a successful conclusion in the investigation, and set the retainer. Payment may be made by cash, check, money order, or credit card.
We will not exceed the estimated budget-or retainer without your approval. At the conclusion of the case, we will issue you a detailed invoice and any remaining amount from the retainer will be refunded.
In the case you choose to cancel an investigation at anytime, we will refund all unused funds.
Mediation Policy and Payment Terms
We work on an hourly basis. After you’ve contacted the party you wish to invite to the mediation table, contact us, and we’ll begin the intake process.
In some cases, we will contact the other party and invite them to the mediation. After we’ve determined the type of conflict you would like mediated, and whether the conflict is appropriate for mediation, we will set your hourly rate accordingly.
Once we’ve scheduled the mediation and the mediation session begins, you will be charged hourly.Though either party can pick up the cost of the mediation, we ask that both parties split the cost of the mediation.
Since mediation is a voluntary process either party can decide to end the mediation at anytime.
Notice of cancelation must be received at least 5 business days prior to the mediation otherwise the cancelling party may be billed a cancelation fee. A one time waiver of the cancelation fee may be granted if the mediation is rescheduled to take place within 30 days.
In the event a party is a no-show, that party may be responsible for the full mediation fee.
