Special Project/Reentry Mediation

Formaly incarcerated persons and family members often require help overcoming difficult conversation to prepare for the transition back into the home, work, or simply the community at large. Sometimes there is conflict with significant others and child(ren) from before the incarceration. Sometimes family members, significant others, and children have resentment, hurt, and shame as a result of the charge or things that took place in the inmates absence.  In most circumstances, there is an understanding that an inmate will return home to be with the family, but there may be some unresolved matters such as the different expectations everyone brings to the transition. Re-entry mediation creates a space for everyone involved to meet with an  nonjudgmental mediator to talk, be heard by each other, discuss issues, and work toward resolution.

We offer a safe environment for  formaly incarcerated persons and family members to meet and dialogue.
